| GOOSHING aims to put even more ethical consumer
pressure on the world’s worst offending
companies to be more respectful towards the world
we live in.
GOOSHING is part of a global ethical shopping
movement - people everywhere are starting to unify
their spending power to help persuade the biggest
and baddest corporations to act responsibly towards
our fragile environment, animals and less fortunate
peoples.
GOOSHING is brought to you by The Ethical Company
Organisation, who first published The Good Shopping
Guide – which has become the world’s
leading ethical shopping reference authority.
The Ethical Company Organisation is a member of
the Social Enterprise Coalition and a share holder
in Café Direct.(See www.ethical-company-organisation.org
for more details)
GOOSHING aims to make online ethical shopping
easier and also cheaper for consumers - and thus
an even more powerful movement, worldwide. GOOSHING
is a free service and features everything from
cds, dvds, home appliances, computer gear, electronics,
office equipment - in fact over over 250,000 products
to buy in hundreds of different product categories.
Whatever you want to buy, GOOSHING takes you to
the most ethical brand choices – and then
our Price Search function takes you to the very
cheapest place to buy that product from our 350
participant retailers.
The secret of GOOSHING is that it has become
a genuine a one-stop-shop. It features thousands
of different products – providing ethical
comparisons and a price-search mechanism which
guarantees to deliver you the lowest price on
your product of choice from over 350 retailers.
The GOOSHING research was conducted by The Ethical
Company Organisation’s own Research Department
in Spring 2004. And the ethical ratings system
was similarly worked on in the Spring and Summer
of 2004. The GOOSHING research results will occasionally
vary from the ECRA research found in The Good
Shopping Guide - as several of the criteria and
much of the methodology varies. GOOSHING is designed
for online shopping only as a ‘quick ethical
ratings check’ and ‘Price Search’
service. For a fuller and deeper body of research
we recommend you buy a copy of The Good Shopping
Guide at www.thegoodshoppingguide.co.uk
and subscribe to ECRA’s corporate critic
service at www.ethicalconsumer.org
