This high-performance relational engine supports up to 250 FileMaker Pro 5.0 or FileMaker Pro 5.5 guests on Windows or Mac platforms simultaneously via TCP/IP (common to all platforms), IPX/SPX (Windows), and AppleTalk (Mac OS 8.1 to 9.1). It also includes centralized and automated backups and remote administration tools to monitor server and network activity and to control guest and file connections. FileMaker Server 5.5 is designed for ease of use - virtually anyone can use it to optimize their day-to-day FileMaker Pro 5.x workgroup solutions - and integration with IT systems with such features as LDAP compatibility and Windows domain authentication. |
