eTrust Content Inspection complements firewalls, inspecting each Java applet and verifying each ActiveX control's credentials, even within compressed files. It enables secure e-business transactions by verifying digital signatures for Java, ActiveX and other digitally signed objects and validating each digital certificate. eTrust Content Inspection also scans for viruses using CA's award-winning scanning engine.In the CVP version of eTrust Content Inspection, the integration of Check Point Software's FireWall-1 and eTrust Content Inspection is done by adding a "rule" to the Fire Wall-1's "rules base". This rule will ensure that every executable entering the enterprise's network will be sent to the eTrust Content Inspection, where it will be analyzed and compared to the enterprise's security policy. Once the executable is approved by eTrust Content Inspection, it will be sent to the client's workstation via FireWall-1. |
