CiscoWorks for Windows Version 6.1 is a set of Web-based device monitoring and configuration tools that are suitable for small network deployments. It discovers and organizes information about the connectivity of Cisco and other devices in the network into a topology map that is easy to understand and navigate. The map provides a visual interface into information such as traffic thresholds, protocols, connection problems, and device status. Using the CiscoView tool, network administrators can view an image of each Cisco device, complete with its interfaces, indicator lights, and power status. Each device interface is color-coded to indicate its functional state with one-click access to each port's configuration settings and advanced statistical information.CiscoWorks for Windows helps administrators quickly become aware of and respond to problems in the network by sending e-mail, voice, or pager alerts when problems occur. |
