The Cisco Secure VPN Client is a component of Cisco Secure VPN Software, and an integral part of the Cisco Systems family of hardware and software VPN solutions. Its robust implementation of IP Security (IPSec) standards allows remote Windows 95/98 and NT 4.0 users to easily create secure and reliable VPN tunnel connections to a host network. Its features include support for DES and Triple DES (3DES) encryption, authentication with digital certificates using the simple certificate enrollment protocol (SCEP) in Both registration authority (RA) and certificate authority (ca) modes, extended authentication (XAUTH) for radius-based user authentication, and preshared keys. The Cisco secure VPN client is designed to fully complement the Microsoft TCP/IP implementation. |
