Control-UPS/400 provides a complete power management solution for AS/400 environments when used with an APC Smart-UPS or Matrix-UPS. The package includes: PowerChute/400 Software - as compared with the internal OS/400 shutdown facility PowerChute/400 dramatically improves control of AS/400 processes and user notification in the event of a power failure. Control-UPS/400 hardware interface - this unit provides for advanced UPS control via PowerChute plus on a separate PC (typically running OS/2 or Windows) OR a terminal, using a powerful, menu driven, character based interface. This level of UPS communication and control was previously unavailable in AS/400 environments. |
