Upgrade your 3Com Switch 4005 to the latest features. 3Com Switch 4005 v2.0 Advanced Software Upgrade is available for customers of these switches who are running an earlier version of the agent software. This upgrade enables DVMRP, Backup and Restore, automated configuration of aggregated links (LACP), and Access Control Lists.DVMRP enables routing of IP multicast streams for streaming video, remote learning and video conferencing applications. Backup and restore functionality enables switch configurations to be captured and reapplied individually to a single switch or across a whole network at a push of a button. LACP (Link Aggregation Control Protocol, 802.3ad) automatically configure multiple aggregated links between switches allowing additional inter-switch bandwidth and resiliency. Access Control Lists enhance network security: filter and prioritize traffic on VLANs, and limit access to certain segments of the network. |
